UFOs photographed over London,April 7, 2009

Last month Covent Garden,London UFO sighting made local and international headlines.And now in latest in UK UFO flap Ahmad Zaigham a computer engineer photographed the unidentified object from his home in South Harrow, North West London.

He said : "I was immersed in the TV programme when just by chance I saw this uncanny light in the sky and I was instantly mesmerised."

Ahmad was able to take one shot of the object whilst it was stationary for a few seconds.

He said: "Then it moved rapidly up and above at incredible speed, a comparable speed to a fighter jet at full power, so fast that panning the camera in the direction was impossible."

Mr Zaigham added the object made a "whistle kind of sound" and seemed to "quickly fade in light" after he took his picture. "The light coming from this thing is something I have never seen the like. I dont think any aircraft has a light like this," he said.

The sighting, which occured shortly before 8pm last Tuesday, follows suggestions that an unidentified flying object may have been responsible for damaging a wind turbine in Lincolnshire in January.

Mr Zaigham has said that he may pass the photograph onto NASA for further investigation.Source

Is this the missing jet from the 1953 Kinross UFO incident?

At 6:22 p.m. on November 23 1953, an F-89 Scorpion jet was scrambled from Kinross Air Force Base near the Michigan Soo to intercept an unidentified object detected in restricted airspace over the Soo Locks.The U.S. fighter was seen on radar over Lake Superior, merging with the craft it was pursuing.Then, it disappeared from radar.Never to be seen again.Ever since, the UFO-theorist circles have been speculating what might have happened.In October 1968, the Sault Star reported that aircraft parts believed to have come from a "high-performance military jet aircraft" had been discovered by prospectors on Lake Superior's Canadian side.

Today, the UFO circles have started buzzing again, with speculation that this side-scan sonar image (reproduced by SooToday.com with permission from the Great Lakes Dive Co.) might be the missing F-89 Scorpion.The dive company's website indicates it's currently involved in a forensic investigation of the Canadian wreck site.
A company map shows the search area as being in Ontario waters off the tip of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula.The dive company also intriguingly indicates that its sonar detected another "interesting" object near the sunken aircraft, that might be part of whatever it was that the jet was pursuing.

1937 Vancouver City Hall UFO

This amazing photo of an UFO was taken by Leonard Lamoureux in 1937. Leonard was visiting Vancouver, British Columbia when he setup his camera on a makeshift tripod to photograph a Christmas light display.He was 21 and on leave from the army. He was with his brother Wilfred.He had setup his camera facing the Vancouver courthouse. Suddenly, a "bright blue light" descended rapidly and increased in size. The brothers observed that the source of the light was "two saucers" with open ends, facing each and glowed bright blue.The craft moved diagonally from the courthouse to the city hall and hovered momentarily in front of Leonard. It sat in the air suspended above a flag pole.

It then suddenly and shot up into the sky and vanished. It spooked the brothers so much that they fled in terror.Leonard had shot a series of photos and only the above showed the unknown object. Apparently, the camera was a basic model and did not have a multiple exposure setting.Critics claim that the object is simply a bubble or watermark defect in the negative.Unfortunately, the negative has disappeared over the ensuring decades. Both Leonard and his brother Wilfred have also passed. But this is not the end of the report: please consider the following:

What's truly interesting about the photo and especially the closeup is how it resembles an UFO depicted in a fresco in the year 1350. The fresco is entitled "The Crucification". Note how the two objects resemble each other. Original complete fresco is pictured below.

Is it possible that extraterrestrials have created, promoted and even masqueraded as religious leaders, prophets and angels? Have we been fooled into believing false messages passed on to us in the guise of "religious" dogma and teachings? Is this the true alien agenda - creating a fervor of discontent, deliberately causing clashes between religious sects. Actual Recording Of Astronaut UFO Encounter

Any regular Awesome or Off-Putting readers may remember a few months back when we showed you some alleged astronaut moon-landing transcripts that included this line: "…there were other spaceships. They're lined up on the other side of the crater." As we said, that transcript is purely alleged as we only have it in written form. Recently, however, our crack h-files investigative team has stumbled upon an actual recording of a 1989 astronaut encounter.

On March 13th, 1989, Donald Ratsch (an American member of a radio club that monitors all of NASA's space travel transmissions) was recording communications from the shuttle Discovery. He picked the right time to record, because he got this astronaut transmission: "Houston this is Discovery, we still have the Alien spacecraft under observance."

At first NASA denied everything, when they realised they couldn't deny an actual recording, they acknowledged it was real - but said it was a joke. Anyone who's heard the recording will no doubt attest that the astronaut did not seem to be in a funny mood. A transmission heard but not recorded by an amateur radio operator in Ohio just before the 'spacecraft under observance' message is alleged to have been an astronaut telling NASA that "We have a fire". 'Fire', it's widely assumed, was a code word for UFO. Yet another radio operator claims to have then heard NASA tell the shuttle to switch to another frequency.

The link we have here today is as it was first made available by the London Broadcasting Company. It includes a female presenter introducing the recording, and then plays it four consecutive times.

Why they are called UFO’s

Unidentified flying objects or UFOs refer to spacecrafts that are not readily identifiable. Strange sky apparitions have been reported throughout history. Some were identified overtime as bright meteors, comets, or other atmospheric phenomena. However, others were still unexplained and are simply tagged as Unidentified Flying Objects.

After World War II, there were many reported sightings in the United States. One businessman named Kenneth Arnold claimed that on June 1947 he saw nine flying objects across Washington sky. He later described them as ‘flying like saucers” that gave way to terms flying disk and flying saucers.

This was quickly followed by several sightings in the United States and other countries. However, the one that stood out the most was a sighting reported by a crew of United Airlines who claimed that they saw the same 9 flying saucers supporting Kenneth Arnold’s sighting.

These reported sightings have immediately caught media attention and the government became more concerned. After a month of the initial sighting, the US government conducted an investigation about flying saucers. The investigation proved that reported sightings were real and there were indeed flying objects. Technical and intelligence divisions of the US air force supported these findings. These investigations led to the creation of “Project Blue Book” to further study and understand flying saucers.

It was in 1952 when the term flying saucer was officially replaced with UFO or unidentified flying objects to reflect the sightings diversity. In 1954, the director of project blue book issued a statement formally defining UFO as any airborne flying objects that has aerodynamic characteristics and unusual features and doesn't conform to known missile or aircraft types. It also means objects that aren't presently known or can't be identified positively as familiar objects. UFOs were later categorized based on their features: Categories include:

1. Objects that rapidly change route and have fast moving lights.
2. Disk-shaped objects that don't have audible or visible propulsion.
3. Large triangular objects that have the same light pattern.
4. Cigar-shaped objects that have lighted windows.

Aside from visual sightings, UFOs were associated with physical evidence. The most popular evidence was landing traces or ground impressions. Experts believe that UFOs leave burned or desiccated soil with metallic traces.

Today, there are still UFO sightings throughout the world that continue to amaze all kinds of people. Until they are identified or come in contact with experts, they will remain Unidentified Flying objects.
